Super fast Camera

Heard some boast about the Shutter Speed of  Camera?

This super fast camera could put all boasts out of contention. With a mind blowing speed of Pico Second (1 Trillionth of a Second), the new camera in development will be a great value addition to Medical/ Space/ Graphics/ Research applications.

--------------

It might be the size of a dustbin, but scientists have managed to invent a camera that can capture the speed of light. The super-fast camera can show a bullet-shaped pulse of light travelling from one end of a laboratory flask to another in a fraction of a second. But the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) said it will be some time before the camera is commercially available.

Captured: A camera with a trillionth of a second shutter speed has caught the speed of light as it travelled from one end of a laboratory flask to the other

Researchers at MIT's 'blue-sky science' think tank predict super-fast photography could benefiting mankind within 10 years. It could even lead to hand-held medical scanners being used in hospitals.

Ramesh Raskar, associate professor of media arts at the MIT Media Lab, told The Sunday Times: 'With our ultra-fast imaging we can actually analyse how the photons are travelling through the world.' The camera can also create 3D images because it is capable of 'seeing' photons of light even inside objects.

The device was made by adapting a 'streaker tube' - used by chemists to scan and capture light. It can record the progress of light pulses through a flask of liquid.
Split second: The camera could be available to capture spectacular images in around ten years and could even lead to handheld medical scanners

Each still picture had a shutter speed of 1.7 picoseconds - a trillionth of a second. Mr Raskar added: 'Watching this it looks like light in slow motion. It is so slow you can see the light itself move across the distance.

'This is the speed of light captured: there is nothing in the universe that moves faster, so we are at the physical limit of high-speed photography.'

What is in the Age 50?

At 50, people may celebrate Golden Jubilee Year.
What is so special about that age? You are likely to be at your competitive best! Especially men...
--------
The age of 50 marks the most competitive phase of our lives, when we desperately try to outperform our opponents, a new study has revealed.
The findings by US scientists contradict the conventional assumption that the need to outperform others subsides, as we get older, and could have implications for the workplace, where pushy young employees are often seen as having more drive than their older colleagues.
Psychologists from the University of Oregon set up a stall at a shopping centre and invited hundreds of volunteers to solve maths equations as quickly as possible, the Daily Mail reported.
The participants, who were aged from 25 to 75 years, at first played on their own, scoring points that could be swapped for cash prizes.
But they were then made to play against a contender and only scored points if they beat them. To measure their competitive streak, in the final round they were given the choice between playing on their own or taking on a rival.
Almost 70 per cent of men aged 45 to 54 opted to go head-to-head with an opponent, compared to half of those between 25 and 34.
A similar pattern was observed among the women, but their desire to compete was consistently lower than the men’s.
The researchers revealed that they were astonished by the findings as they had expected men’s thirst for competition to subside with age, due to falling testosterone levels, changing priorities and the decline in confidence that often comes with getting older.
However they insisted that the outcome could be explained by men’s need to feel socially dominant as they age – a feeling which research suggests also peaks at around 50.
“It is surprising that we found a gradual increase in competitive preferences until the age of 50, only then followed by a decline,” researchers said.
“Successfully engaging in competition is critical for establishing social dominance. It’s plausible that with this comes an increased taste for competition.”
“Men do so without much regard for their actual probability of winning, whereas women take this aspect into regard as would be expected from a rational decision-maker,” the researchers added.

Lunar Eclipse Facts - Some specialties in Dec 2011

This year's second total lunar eclipse on Saturday, Dec. 10, will offer a rare chance to see a strange celestial sight traditionally thought impossible.

Ringside seats for the lunar eclipse can be found in Alaska, Hawaii, northwestern CanadaAustraliaNew Zealand, and central and eastern Asia. Over the contiguous United States and Canada, the eastern zones will see either only the initial penumbral stages before moonset, or nothing at all.

Over the central regions of the United States, the moon will set as it becomes progressively immersed in the Earth's umbral shadow. The Rocky Mountain states and the prairie provinces will see the moon set in total eclipse, while out west the moon will start to emerge from the shadow as it sets.

The moon passes through the southern part of the Earth's shadow, with totality beginning at 6:06 a.m. PST and lasting 51 minutes. [Total Eclipse of the Moon (Infographic)]
For most places in the United States and Canada, there will be a chance to observe an unusual effect, one that celestial geometry seems to dictate can't happen. The little-used name for this effect is a "selenelion" (or "selenehelion") and occurs when both the sun and the eclipsed moon can be seen at the same time.

Seeing the impossible
But wait!  How is this possible?  When we have a lunar eclipse, the sun, Earth and moon are in a geometrically straight line in space, with the Earth in the middle. So if the sun is above the horizon, the moon must be below the horizon and completely out of sight (or vice versa).

And indeed, during a lunar eclipse, the sun and moon are exactly 180 degrees apart in the sky; so in a perfect alignment like this (a "syzygy") such an observation would seem impossible.

But it is atmospheric refraction that makes a selenelion possible.
Atmospheric refraction causes astronomical objects to appear higher in the sky than they are in reality.

For example: when you see the sun sitting on the horizon, it is not there really. It's actually below the edge of the horizon, but our atmosphere acts like a lens and bends the sun's image just above the horizon, allowing us to see it.

This effect actually lengthens the amount of daylight for several minutes or more each day; we end up seeing the sun for a few minutes in the morning before it has actually risen and for a few extra minutes in the evening after it actually already has set.

The same holds true with the moon, as well.

As a consequence of this atmospheric trick, for many localities there will be an unusual chance to observe a senelion firsthand with Saturday morning's shadowy event. There will be a short window of roughly 1-to-6 minutes (depending on your location) when you may be able to simultaneously spot the sun rising in the east-southeast and the eclipsed full moon setting in the west-northwest.

Regions of visibility
For places to the east of the Appalachian Range, this will, unfortunately, be a non-event. Although the moon will still be above the horizon when it begins to enter the Earth's shadow at 6:33 a.m. EST, it initially is the penumbral shadow that first contacts the moon.

This shadow is so faint that at least three-quarters of the moon's diameter must be immersed within it before you would have a chance of detecting it visually, either with your naked eyes or using an optical aid. That means, if you live in places such as Boston, New York or Miami, the moon will look perfectly normal as it sets.

But from southeast Ontario, through the Ohio Valley and continuing south to the central Gulf Coast, the upper-left portion of the moon will begin appearing somewhat darker or "smudged" as it begins to disappear beyond the horizon.  As you head farther west, the moon's entry into the much-darker part of the Earth's shadow (the umbra) will become evident at 7:45 a.m. Eastern Time or 6:45 a.m. Central.

Across portions of the Upper Midwest, the Nation's Heartland, down into the central parts of Oklahoma and Texas, about half of the setting moon will be immersed in the umbra. The shadow will appear to be creeping almost straight down across the moon's face from its upper limb.

Across the Central and Southern Plains only the lowermost portion of the moon will remain in view as it moves down below the west-southwest horizon. Farther west and north, across the Desert Southwest and High Plains, the moon will rise completely immersed in the Earth's shadow, while for parts of the Intermountain Region, Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, the moon will begin to emerge from the umbra as it sets.

Important facts to consider

In order to observe the selenelion, you should make sure that both your east-southeast and west-northwest horizons are free of any tall obstructions that might block your views of the setting moon or rising sun.

Also, keep in mind that, depending on the clarity of your sky, you might actually lose sight of the moon about 10 or 15 minutes before sunrise thanks to the brightening morning twilight and the moon sinking into any horizon haze (atmospheric "schmutz").

Keep in mind that this holds only for the uneclipsed portion of the moon. Indeed, if the moon is totally eclipsed at moonset, you will probably have to scan the western horizon as the twilight increases in order to detect the moon, which will perhaps resemble a dim and eerily illuminated softball.

Physical Exercises for longer period is harmful, even fatal

Jogging may be okay, but going for extreme endurance events like marathons could take a toll on your heart, says a new study.
It's said that putting the heart under heavy strain for long periods causes scarring of the heart muscle, known as fibrosis. This damage is normally reversed within a week of an event, the repairal process serving to make the heart fitter.
However, researchers who followed 40 elite Australian athletes have found evidence of ‘more permanent damage’ in five of them, the European Heart Journal reported.
According to them, fibrosis can impair how well the heart performs when a person is exercising intensively. It can also lead to irregular heartbeats, called arrhythmias. And serious arrhythmias can be life-threatening.
Lead researchers Dr André La Gerche at the University Hospitals Leuven in Belgium said: "It is likely to affect only a minority of athletes, particularly those in whom more intense training fails to result in further improvements in their performance."
He said that the five who saw longer-term damage had been training and competing for longer than the others. "It is most important that our findings are not over-extrapolated to infer that endurance exercise is unhealthy. Our data do not support this premise," he added.
The researchers found damage in the right ventricle, one of the four chambers of the heart, using MRI scanning.
They found no damage in the left ventricle. However, experts are fully convinced. Professor Sanjay Sharma, a consultant cardiologist and medical director of the London Marathon, was quoted by The Daily Telegraph as saying, "It is too early to say that taking part in endurance sports causes long-term damage to the right ventricle."
But, this study is an indication that it might cause a problem in some endurance athletes with a predisposition and, therefore, it should be studied further, he added.

Water Bulb (Solar)

Surprised to know that water and bleach refracting Solar light to illuminate the interior.
In this maze of windowless tin shacks, school classes are often held outside because even in daytime it’s too dark to see the blackboard. Now a youth group is hoping some 2-liter plastic bottles filled with water and bleach can brighten Kenya’s slums.
The soda bottle-as-lightbulb was first discovered in Brazil by mechanic Alfredo Moser in 2002. In the decade since, tens of thousands of people who can’t afford electricity or other sources of light like candles have converted to the water bottle lightpoint.
When the bottle is hung through a hole in the roof and filled with water and bleach, the bottle refracts sunlight and can produce as much light as a 50- or 60-watt bulb.
Veronica Wanjiru, 24, a mother of two, said even illegal electrical hookups, candles and paraffin are too expensive for many in the Korogocho slums.
Her 11-year-old and 5-year-old had to do their homework outside and in a rush before the sunset. Now that she has a water bulb, it can even produce light at night during a full moon.
“Before they put it in, my children would sometimes use candles, but after they have finished they would forget them on, which can even burn the house,” she said.
The youth group called Koch Hope has been so successful in installing water bulbs for people like Wanjiru that it’s now struggling to meet demand. The group installed the first 100 bulbs for free in April in hopes of attracting attention from donors and expanding the project.
Matayo Magalasia, one of the few people from the area to go to college, saw Moser’s invention on the Internet last year and sought to replicate it. He approached a youth group known as Koch Hope about bringing light to Korogocho.
“I grew up here and I knew the houses were dark even during the day. I had to do my homework outside because we did not have light,” Magalasia said.
Paul Jumbi, 28, a member of Koch Hope, said the group hopes to install the water bulb in every house in the slum and then expand to other Nairobi slums. Jumbi, though, said the project’s expansion has been curtailed by a lack of money.
The plastic bottles are easy to find, but buying the sealant to put around the hole in the iron roof where the bottle sits is expensive.
Jumbi said their first attempts to install the water bulb were met with resistance from people who thought the hole would let in rainwater.
He and his team persuaded the owner of a primary school where students were being taught outdoors because they could not see the blackboard inside. Installing it in the school led other residents to buy in to the idea.
During electricity shortages in Uberaba, Sao Paulo in 2002, Moser discovered that hanging a plastic bottle full of water from his roof brought in extra light. The idea behind Moser’s simple invention — known in different places as solar water bulb or water bulb — has spread to slum dwellers in at least three continents.
In the Philippines, a non-governmental organization is attempting to use the solar water bulb to brighten 1 million homes by next year. The project is known as “Isang Litrong Liwanag,” which translates to “A Liter of Light.”

Key to Happiness

Every one wants to be happy? Is it not?
Then, what is the key to happiness - is the most nagging question, for which almost every creature is groping continually. Normally attribute happiness to attaining/ acquiring possession or retaining it.
(Needless to say, Failure to do the same will result in unhappiness.)
But, the key to attain ever lasting Happiness is to realise that you are happy by nature - say Vedas.
निरतिशय सुखस्वरूपमात्मानम् वेद।
How is this possible?
Tell your mind about this fact. Constant Reminders will help a lot.
Read the latest scientific data from Italy about this aspect.

Reasons for Hair Loss - Some observations

Caring for your hair is an important aspect of personal grooming and healthy hair is a sign of robust health. Though dandruff or dead cell is a common problem affecting the young and old alike, many a time hair fall comes as a forewarning of other diseases like thyroid, high BP, hormonal changes, diabetes, obesity and PCOD. People who observe special diets to become slim are prone to hair loss because they become deprived of nutrients.
  • Retention of hair works in different ways in men and women. Men have a tendency to lose hair unless it is kept short which makes it essential for them to go for a hair cut every now and then.
  • There is a general tendency to apply oil in a bid to attain healthy hair growth. But there is no scientific basis to this as our scalp is gifted with a natural secretion called sebum that gives its natural sheen and keeps dryness at bay.
  • But change in climate, excessive use of shampoos, low water level and hair treatments like colouring and straightening can damage the sebum glands. Most alarming is the fact that stress can cause hair fall among children from the age of four. A feeling of insecurity and various reasons like parental incompatibility have to be checked.
  • Alopecia Areata is another medical condition where a person loses hair in circular patches usually from the scalp; however there are cases where there is hair loss from other parts of the body. If hair is lost only from the scalp, it is termed alopecia areata totalis and if it is only from other body parts it is termed alopecia areata universalis.
  • Many nutrients like zinc are necessary for the healthy growth of hair. When under extreme stress, a condition called zinc depletion sets in resulting in hair loss and even greyness. Often, a lifestyle change like change in water can also contribute to the condition called alopecia or hair loss.
  • Constant wearing of caps can cause monk fringes (loss of hair in the covered area). There are seven stages in alopecia and many come in for treatment at the fourth stage when it’s difficult to bring in any improvement.
  • So it is important to consult a specialist before it is too late. Genetic factors are also a reason for extensive hair fall. For the correct treatment of hair loss, it is vital to study the history of the patient and not every one can be administered the same treatment.
  • But eating right and consuming at least two litres of water a day helps control hair loss to a certain extent.

Lap Top (Battery) Hazards and precautions

High time to adopt discipline in using a Laptop .... after seeing repeated accidents caused by Laptop Batteries.

  1. Switch Off/ Log Off the Laptop before going to sleep.
  2. Do not place Laptop or any Electronic Gadget near your head, while in sleep. (Remember that your head more valuable than the gadget or its convenience.)
  3. In case of emergency of fire, remember the points.
  4. Remember that these precautions should be well presented and remembered by all the family members. Because, in case of an emergency the first one to notice should respond quickly. More importantly, to extinguish the fire, one need not know to use a laptop or know its mechanism.

Bye Bye Diabetic Injections??

Good Bye daily Injections for Diabetics!
Here's some good news for those suffering from diabetes, scientists are developing a pill to treat or even prevent the most common form of the disease.
An international team, led by Curtin University in Australia, which is developing the new tablet, claims the pill allow diabetics to get their daily insulin substitute and avoid needles.
Over the past 10 years, lead scientist Prof Erik Helmerhorst and his colleagues looked at millions of compounds on pharmaceutical databases to try to emulate the molecular map of insulin.
"On a computer, in silico, we searched three million compound structures for their ability to fit that map," he said.
In short, they found one, and are developing it as part of their dream to ‘take the needle out of diabetes’.
"Our innovation is the development of a new chemical entity, a small drug molecule we have discovered and developed, that can be taken orally as a tablet to replace insulin per se," said Prof Helmerhorst.
The research has the ability to revolutionise the treatment of diabetes, which is a growing worldwide problem. Professor Helmerhorst said there was a niche market for their drug molecule to target Type 2 diabetics to help delay to the onset of insulin dependency.
"The reality is that nearly one-third of Type 2 diabetics will end up needing insulin therapy at some stage," he said, adding that the insulin substitute would appeal to people who were averse to taking insulin via injections or by pumps.
"We've had a lot of interest already, including a Chinese and UK group interested in the technology," Prof Helmerhorst said.

Insomnia - one more remedy!!

Study found that drinking cherry juice helps one sleep an extra 25 minutes a night, and people who consume it regularly have an improved quality of sleep.

Cherry juice 'can help get a good night's sleep'
Suffering from insomnia? Drink a glass of cherry juice daily before going to bed, for a study says that it holds the key to a good night's sleep.
Researchers at Northumbria University have found that drinking cherry juice helps one sleep an extra 25 minutes a night, and people who consume it regularly have an improved quality of sleep.
They have found that cherry juice significantly increases levels of melatonin in the body, the hormone regulating sleep, a finding which may benefit those who have difficulty sleeping due to insomnia, shift work or jet lag.
In the study, led by Dr Glyn Howatson, 20 healthy volunteers drank a 30 ml serving of either tart cherry juice or a placebo juice twice a day for seven days.
Urine samples were collected from all participants before and during the investigation to determine levels of melatonin, a naturally occurring compound that heavily influences the human sleep-wake cycle.
During the study, the participants wore an actigraphy watch sensor, which monitored their sleep and wake cycles and kept a daily diary on their sleeping patterns.
The researchers found that when participants drank cherry juice for a week there was a significant increase in their urinary melatonin (15 to 16 per cent) than control condition and placebo drink samples, 'The Daily Telegraph' reported.

(Dhaniya) Coriander Seeds - Good for anxiety reduction

Researchers have found a natural, safe and cheap remedy in coriander seeds to relieve anxiety and mental tension.

“The anti-anxiety activity of coriander seeds is similar to the action of diazepam or anti-depressant drugs,” said Poonam Mahendra, who led a team of pharmacologists on a research study on effects of coriander seeds.

While drugs have side-effects, coriander seeds are natural and safe, added poonam. According to the research findings, coriander seeds or dhania influences the mind, calms it down and provides relief from mental tension and anxiety.
As a part of the experiment, the team fed hydro-alcoholic extract of coriander seeds to a set of mice and cross-checked the results obtained from another set of mice fed with diazepam. The action exerted by coriander was similar to diazepam, but without any side-effects. For results to be positive, coriander seeds should be taken in sufficient quantity. “Anxiety affects one-eighth of the total population in the world. It is characterised by a state of excessive fear, motor tension, sympathetic hyperactivity and apprehension. The drugs available in the market have unwanted side effects like sedation, muscle relaxation and temporary loss of memory,” Poonam said adding that coriander is the natural way of finding relief from mental tension and anxiety.

Battle against the Corruption - Monster ... some updates

At last some good news for people about reduction of corruption at public offices in India.

  • CVC Setting up the mechanism to share information on graft among various agencies.
  • Call toll free number 1964 to register your complaint 24x 7.
  • Govt notifies rules to punish corrupt officials, by tightening screws and removing laxities.
Next in line -

  • Inclusion of Private Sector Bribery, including Corporates and NGOs.
  • Removal of overlapping duties, leading to evasiveness.
  • Protecting Anonymity, to spare the public from the wrath of Existing Babus.
  • Bringing in transparency in appoints.
  • Finally, the process of elections - the mother of all battles against Corruption.

As Sastra says - कारणव्यतिेरेकेण कार्यस्यासद्भावः। The effect cannot be different from the cause.
If the appointment/ selection/ election is corrupt, the result would be equally corrupt, if not worse - at best.

NEW DELHI: Harassed by corrupt babus (officials) demanding bribe or delaying work?

Aggrieved people will soon be able to seek help through a 24x7 toll-free number, 1964, to be made functional by the Central Vigilance Commission. According to the country's anti-corruption watchdog officials, the number will act as a one-stop solution for all complaints related to corruption.

"The anti-bribery helpline will assist complainants in their problems related to unnecessary lingering of work in a concerned government department due to a demand of undue favours or bribe by public servants," a CVC official said. He said that a full-fledged call centre will also be set up to provide services round the clock. "People will be able to register complaints related to bribery being faced by them in all the central government ministries, departments and public sector units, among others," the official said.

However, complaints related to Delhi government or its departments will not be resolved through the proposed helpline or by the commission since it does not come under its jurisdiction. The Central Vigilance Commission was set up in February 1964 by the government, hence the choice of the toll-free number.

"We have worked out the technical modalities with the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). There are a few things needed to be worked out with other stakeholders. We plan to start it within two-months time," the official said.

Presently, the CVC has a toll free number 1800-11-0180 and 011-24651000 which is operational between 9am and 7pm from Monday to Friday. "The 1964 will be working seven days and there will be no such time limitation to register complaints," the official added.

Desk Job - Money Spinner or Killer??

There were times, when parents toiling hard in the fields in agrarian activities or outdoor hard jobs, encouraged children to study well, so that they can obtain employment in an office, to minimize discomfort in life.
Little, did they imagine those those comfort levels would turn out to be killers (lifespan decreasers) for the future generations. Decreased metabolism is proving to be a major concern as an avenue to early death.
Read on the report from New South Wales, Australia.
-------------
Bad news for those who have desk jobs, a new study has found that sitting down for long periods of time increases risk of early death.
The study of more than 200,000 men and women in NSW has found that the longer people sit each day the greater their chances of going to an early grave. Even when exercise was taken into account, it was often not enough to offset the effects of sitting for several hours.
Those who sat for more than 10 hours a day had a 48 per cent increased risk of death compared to more active people who sat for less than four hours a day.
Co-author of the study, Adrian Bauman, of the University of Sydney’s school of public health, said people with physically active jobs such as gardeners, builders and childcare workers faced less of a problem than those chained to a desk.
“Your lowest risk of death is if you are physically active and don’t sit,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Professor Bauman as saying. Your highest risk is if you don’t do any physical activity and you sit a lot of the day."
"What’s happening is when you sit, the meal you have just eaten is broken down into sugar and your blood sugar stays high. Sugar wants to be taken into muscles and the liver to be used but if you’re sitting it’s just circulating so your blood sugar stays high,” Prof Bauman explained.
The findings will be presented at the annual meeting of the 45 and Up Study, the largest ongoing health research project in the southern hemisphere.

Vaccination or No Vaccination?

Vaccination improves Body Immunity, But ...
It could impair the body's ability to develop resistance .. is the alternative view. Let us understand that perspective thru the personal experience of a Health Journalist.
-------------------------
It was a year before her daughter was born that health journalist Reba came across anti-vaccination literature.
“I was intrigued and started reading what was written about vaccines with my husband. I also talked to doctors and other experts. There was no absolute proof that vaccines are either safe or effective. We resolved that if we had a child we would never subject her or him to any kind of vaccination,” Reba Paul, the editor of Health Café, told this newspaper.
Three months after the pledge was taken, Reba became pregnant. The child, who has been kept away from vaccines as if they were the plague, is now three-and-a-half years old.
“Except for the mild fever associated with the sprouting of a new tooth, Eva has been absolutely free of childhood infections,” Reba said.
According to her, controlled group studies carried out in the West have shown that non-vaccinated children are healthier than vaccinated ones. A child’s ability to fight infection, Reba says, is connected more with a good diet and sanitary surroundings than vaccines in the blood stream.
“For the first six months I gave my child only breast milk and nothing else. After that I added fruits and coconut milk. A child's digestive system is not powerful enough to digest cereals,” Reba says.
What scared Reba the most about vaccines was the presence of metals like mercury and aluminum in them. “How can I subject my child to vaccinations when I won’t even dare to give her toys coated with these metals?” she asks. She is also alarmed by the frequency of the vaccinations.
“These injections are administered when the child's internal systems are at a tender stage of development. I simply could not allow stuff like mercury and aluminum to be deposited in my baby's nervous system,'' she says.
The main reasons for paediatric problems, according to Reba, are bad food choices and unwanted vaccinations.

Home Remedies - Few Suggestions

Let us see how some of the home remedies can help us in relieving pain and cure the disease we come across in our everyday living:

OIL PULLING:

cid:1.2816021561@web26605.mail.ukl.yahoo.com

Dr. Med. Karch, a Russian, introduced a simple process for the Human body by using oil. This was further popularized by Lt. Col T. Koteswara Rao (Retd.). Initially it causes doubts, but after trying it out the results are astonishing.

The Process:

1. Take one spoon of refined oil in the mouth on an empty stomach early in the morning, before eating or drinking anything.

2. Without much effort or speed, slowly suck and pull the oil through the teeth. Gargle the oil within closed mouth for 15 - 20 minutes.

3. During this process, the oil becomes liquid and white like milk. Spit the liquid out and wash your mouth thoroughly, preferably with warm water.

4. DO NOT SWALLOW the oil as it contains toxins and harmful bacteria drawn from the body through the saliva. Continue this process everyday for better results.

The Cure:

The process of Oil Pulling can give relief and cure Headaches, AsthmaBad Breath, Nose Block, Tooth Pain, Acidity, Ulcers, Cracked Feet, Joint Pains, Stomach Problems, Problems related to Lungs, Liver & Nerves

Who can practice this:

Oil Pulling can be practiced by all from the age of 5 years onwards for any type of health problems. People who a! re in a habit of taking a lot of medicines should try this, as it will release a lot of toxins from the body.

Which Oil to be Used:

Any cooking oil can be used, but the most preferred is the Sesame Oil

CURE FOR ACIDITY:

cid:2.2816021561@web26605.mail.ukl.yahoo.com

Acidity, it is said, is worse than Cancer. It is one of the most common dis-ease people encounter in their daily life. The home remedy for Acidity is Raw Grains of Rice.

The Process:

1. Take 8 - 10 grains of raw uncooked rice

2. Swallow it with water before having your breakfast or eating anything in the morning

3. Do this for 21 days to see effective results and continuously for 3 months to eliminate acidity from the body

The Cure:

Reduces acid levels in the body and makes you feel better by the day.

CURE FOR CHOLESTEROL:

cid:3.2816021561@web26605.mail.ukl.yahoo.com

Cholesterol problem accompanies with Hypertension and Heart Problems. This is also one of the common problems in people who have High Blood Pressure and Diabetes. The home remedy for Cholesterol problem is RAW SUPARI.

The Process:

1. Take Raw Supari (Betel Nut that is not flavoured) and slice them or make pieces of the same

2. Chew it for about 20 - 40 minutes after every meal

3. Spit it out

The Cure:

When you chew the supari, the saliva takes in the juice that is generated and this acts like a Blood Thinner. Once your blood becomes free flowing, it brings down the pressure in the blood flow, thereby reducing Blood Pressure too.

CURE FOR BLOOD PRESSURE:

cid:4.2816021561@web26605.mail.ukl.yahoo.com

One of the simple home remedy cure for Blood Pressure is Methi Seeds or Fenugreek Seeds.

The Process:

1. Take a pinch of Raw Fenugreek Seeds, about 8 - 10 seeds

2. Swallow it with water before taking your breakfast, every morning

The Cure:

The seeds of Fenugreek are considered good to reduce the blood pressure.

CURE FOR DIABETES:

There are 2 home remedies for Diabetes. One is Ladies Finger and the other is Black Tea.

BLACK TEA:Due to high medication, the organ that is worst affected is the Kidney. It has been observed that Black Tea (tea without milk, sugar or lemon) is good for the Kidney. Hence a cup of black tea every morning is highly advisable.

cid:5.2816021561@web26605.mail.ukl.yahoo.com

The Process:

1. Boil water along with the tea leaves (any tea leaves will do).

2. Drink the concoction without addingmilk, sugar or lemon.

The Cure:

Black Tea will help in enhancing the function of the kidney, thereby not affecting it more.

LADIES FINGER or OKRA:

Ladies finger is considered to be a good home medicine for diabetes.
